Itinerary
Day 1 – 06/02 Saturday
Arrival at Rio de Janeiro Airport. Reception with the guide and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and the rest of the day at leisure.
We recommend that passengers take the opportunity to enjoy the “Blocos de Rua” (street carnival bands) that parade through the streets of Copacabana and Ipanema at different times of the day.
Day 2 – 07/02 Sunday
Breakfast and departure for the Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain Tour.
Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer
From anywhere in the city, visitors can see one of the most beautiful views of Rio de Janeiro: Christ the Redeemer on top of Corcovado Mountain. This statue, located 710 meters above sea level, was inaugurated in 1931 and has since become one of the most visited tourist attractions in the city.
The tour begins at the passenger’s hotel and heads toward Corcovado Mountain, which rises above the largest urban forest in the world, the Tijuca Forest. It is a truly enchanting excursion where Rio’s urban landscape combines with its exuberant nature.
From the base of the Christ statue, visitors will discover the best panoramic views of the city of Rio, including Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, among others, and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Once the visit to Christ the Redeemer is completed, the descent from Corcovado will be made by train or by vans to the same boarding point.
Stop for lunch (included in the tour). After lunch, the tour continues toward Urca, where the other symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro is located: Sugarloaf Mountain, which in the Guarani language means “high, pointed, and isolated mountain.” It was at the foot of this hill that the city of Rio de Janeiro was founded by Estácio de Sá in 1565.
The visit to Sugarloaf Mountain takes place in two stages by cable car, the famous “bondinho,” suspended by steel cables. The first stage connects Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca, located 215 meters above sea level, from where visitors can see Guanabara Bay and its islands, Flamengo Beach, Corcovado Mountain, and the bridge connecting Rio to Niterói.
From Morro da Urca begins the second stage of the ascent toward Sugarloaf Mountain at 395 meters above sea level, where visitors can enjoy a unique view of Copacabana Beach, the Santa Cruz Fortress, and some beaches of Niterói.
After spending time on the terraces of Sugarloaf Mountain, the descent begins using the same cable car. At the base of the mountain, transportation will be waiting to take you back to the hotel.
End of the tour.

Day 3 – 08/02 Monday
Breakfast and free day to enjoy the beaches and the “Blocos de Rua” (street carnival bands). At 7:00 PM, departure from the hotel to the Sambadrome. Arrival at 8:00 PM and access to the grandstands. The parade begins at 9:45 PM. Return to the hotel once the Samba Schools parade has finished (approximately 5:00 AM). Passengers who wish to return earlier before the end of the parade may do so on their own by taxi or Uber.
Day 4 – 09/02 Tuesday
Breakfast and free day to enjoy the beaches and the “Blocos de Rua” (street carnival bands).
